Lincoln Mark VII
And by the light buckets in front I'm guessing '83-'86

No kidding. It's a MK VII LSC.

Hey, I thought maybe you'd temporarily lost your short term memory and wanted to be sure.

Fair.

Are you in something GM and built within the last 4 years?

Half right. Not GM.

It's an '88 or '89. All Mark VIIs had the same body style from '84-'92, there were just wheel changes throughout the years.

It's actually in good shape! So many have gotten run into the ground in my area.

It was pretty rusty right above the door trim on the other side. :(

They didn't change the headlights like they did on the Thunderbird and the Cougar?
Huh...
I figured since they were badge engineered they would have made that same change. My bad.
Sweet Lincoln, though. Like the VII's much better than the VIII's

The Mark VII only shares doors with the Thunderbird, no other body panels. Plus, the Mark VII was the first "modern" car in the US with composite headlamps. Ford pushed for the Federal regulations to be changed in '83, but they weren't sure it would happen so they designed two front ends for the Mark VII in case they had to go back to the sealed beams.

I knew the Mark VII and Thunderbird didn't share sheet metal, just the same general silhouette.
Didn't know about the lights, though, it's just the more upright position is identical to the T-bird/Cougar before '87 when they went to an even smaller angle for increased aero

You're obviously sitting in a Deusenberg SJ...

Nope, not German.
